Research interests
Research interests are in
Theoretical Oceanography and Meteorology,
and furthermore, in the field of
Dynamical System Theory. One focus is on the North Atlantic region which is an Archilles sinew for the global oceanic thermohaline circulation.
The sensitivity of the circulation plays a
key role for recent and paleo climate variability.
